Saw some art, had some great Mexican food, and met the people who keep Austin Weird. Almost didn't feel like I was in Tex-Ass. My only regret was not making enough time to visit the Crawford Ranch, but with such a quick trip I though the extra couple hours was too much to hang with my old friend George.

glad you has a good trip.
though I've never gone out to "the ranch" I've been taking a backway to my great grandparents and
grandparents for years going through Crawford, and I will say it is some of the most beautiful country side in Texas. so beautiful that some of the highway pickup is sponsored by "John Denver's Country road fan club" or something like that. lol

btw what other experiences have you had here to even call our state something so derogatory?

Glad you had a good time. Now lay off the "Tex-ass" comments. This state takes shits that look better than Lowseyana!

Didn't mean any real offense to Texas. More playing with it's stereotypes. You know redneck cowboys, hard core right wing politicians, the whole beef and oil industry mentality. I was in Dallas and San Antonio when I was about 10, don't really remember it. I have been in the Houston airport a few times for layovers, and the sheer number of NASCAR hats did make me a bit uncomfortable. But I don't have any true hatred towards Texas or the people who live there (except maybe the Bush family). I actually have a good friend in Laredo. I admit, Louisiana has it's share of backward fucks. I think most places do if you look hard enough.
